A simple moment between a boy and a horse has caught the attention of TikTok users, who say the animal appeared to know exactly what was about to happen.

On TikTok, user Ben (@ben.murphy989) shared a video of a boy’s unique and effective method of getting onto his horse

As the video begins, the boy can be seen standing next to a horse before it lowers its head. He then jumps up onto the horse’s neck, prompting it to throw its head back, allowing the boy to get on more easily.

The boy is then seen positioning himself on the horse’s saddle and is ready to ride.

The video has now been viewed more than three million times and has attracted more than 2,500 comments.

Many TikTok users pointed out that it seemed like the horse knew exactly what it was doing, with one writing, “The horse went like ‘come on shorty, I got you.’”

Another added, “I have seen many yeeted off the horse, but none yeeted on. LOVE IT.”

“It’s clear that the horse enjoys the whole thing,” one commenter noted.

The interaction between rider and horse stood out to viewers familiar with horseback riding, where mounting can sometimes be difficult without the right equipment.

“And here’s me that has to go around looking for rocks & tree stumps to stand on like a noob,” one TikTok user joked.

Horsing Around

Humans have long shared a bond with horses, mainly viewing them as companions for sports and leisure.

Videos featuring horses regularly gain traction online, with one previous Newsweek story reporting on a viral TikTok video showing a horse’s heartwarming reaction to seeing its owner.

Liv (@liv_eventing7) shared the moment her white horse, Diamond, realized she was on the other side of a fence. Instantly, “her face lights up,” according to the caption, and she gallops over to her owner of more than a decade.

The text layered over the video reads, “When he tells me he likes me, but this is how my horse acts when she sees me.”

Another Newsweek story covered a TikTok video in which a couple’s romantic horseback riding session took an unexpected turn.

The video shows the horses wading through the water, but all of a sudden, the crystal-clear Caribbean turns a distinct shade of brown.

It soon becomes clear that one of the horses in the procession is defecating, with those behind forced to wade through the mess.

Newsweek has reached out to @ben.murphy989 for comment via TikTok. We could not verify the details of the case.
